How do I delete all comments and markup from a PDF?
To delete all comments and markup from a PDF, add it to Remove annotations and select Remove annotations with every group ticked, which is the default. Reviewers leave highlights, notes and drawings that you may not want to share. The tool finds them all, tells you how many there are, and deletes the kinds you choose. If nothing is found on the selected pages, it tells you that too.
Can I remove only some annotations?
Yes. The options are grouped the way people think about markup: comments, text markup, drawings, stamps, links and file attachments. Untick a group to keep it. Under More options you can limit the cleanup to a page range such as 1-3, 8.
Is it private?
Yes, the work happens on your device, so confidential drafts stay confidential. Removing annotations does not remove text on the page; to permanently black out sensitive content, use Redact PDF. Afterwards you can continue with Compress PDF or Protect without adding the file again.
