Frequently asked questions

Can you split a PDF into multiple files?

Yes. Split PDF cuts one PDF into separate files by page ranges, every N pages, bookmarks, file size or text. A single split can produce up to 1,000 files, which you download as a ZIP or one by one.

Can I split a PDF into two documents?

Yes. In Pages mode, enter two ranges such as 1-5, 6- and you get two PDFs. An open range like 6- runs to the last page.

Is my PDF uploaded when I split it?

How are the split files named?

You set a name pattern. Placeholders include [BASENAME] for the original name, [CURRENTPAGE], [PAGERANGE], [BOOKMARK_NAME] and [TEXT], depending on the mode.

What are the free limits for splitting a PDF?

Free use covers one PDF of up to 200 MB per split. Pages and In half have no daily limit, while Bookmarks, Size and Text use the free daily server task quota. Premium raises the limits.
