How do I convert a PDF to PowerPoint?
To convert a PDF to PowerPoint, add the PDF and select Convert to PowerPoint; each page becomes one slide at the size of the page, in a PPTX file. Choose a page range to convert only part of the document. Your files are deleted from our servers automatically after 2 hours.
How editable are the slides?
Text goes into editable text boxes that sit over a picture of the page, so each slide looks like the original while you change the words. Charts and logos stay in the background picture. To turn the edited deck back into a PDF, use PowerPoint to PDF; to save pages as pictures instead, use PDF to JPG.
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit the text in the PowerPoint slides?
Yes. Text is placed in text boxes with the original font size, bold, italic and colour. Charts, logos and other vector drawings become part of the background picture, so they cannot be edited.
Do I get a PPT or a PPTX file?
You get a PPTX file. It opens in current versions of PowerPoint as well as Keynote, Google Slides and LibreOffice Impress.
Can I convert a scanned PDF to PowerPoint?
Yes. Choose Scanned (OCR) and the text is recognised first, then placed in editable text boxes.
Can the slides look exactly like the PDF?
Yes. Under Slide content, choose Page as a picture to keep each page as an image for a perfect look; the text is then not editable.
Why do some fonts look different?
Fonts that are not on your computer are replaced by PowerPoint. Install the original font to see the exact look.
Is it free to convert PDF to PowerPoint?
Yes. You can convert without an account within the file size, page and daily task limits shown on the page, and a free account raises them.
