What can PDF to CSV do?

When should I use CSV instead of Excel?

How do I extract a table from a PDF to CSV?

Why do I get a ZIP file?
A CSV file can hold only one table, so each table is saved as a separate CSV named by page and table number, and the files are bundled in a ZIP.
Can I convert a scanned PDF to CSV?
Yes. Choose Scanned (OCR) and the text is recognised first, then the tables are detected.
What if my PDF has no tables?
We tell you and the task is not counted. Choose Whole page layout to export every line of text as rows instead, with one CSV per page.
Can I open the CSV in Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes. CSV is plain text with comma-separated values, so Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice Calc and most databases can import it.
Are my PDFs deleted after converting?
Yes. They are deleted from our servers automatically after 2 hours, and you can delete them straight away from the result screen. Files are encrypted in transit.
