Pick left, right or 180 degrees, and which pages to turn.

  3. 3

Select Rotate PDF and download the result.

What can Rotate PDF do?

  • Runs in your browser: your files never leave your device.
  • Rotate left, right or 180 degrees.
  • Apply to all pages, odd pages, even pages or selected pages.
  • Turn only portrait pages or only landscape pages.
  • Existing rotation is added to, so a page already turned keeps going from there.
  • No re-rendering, so quality is unchanged.

Can you rotate a PDF?

Yes: Rotate PDF turns pages 90 degrees left, 90 degrees right or 180 degrees and saves the new orientation in the file. Use it for scans that came out sideways or upside down.

Is there a way to rotate one page in a PDF?

To rotate one page in a PDF, turn it with the buttons on its thumbnail, or apply the rotation to selected pages only. You can also rotate all pages, only odd pages or only even pages. If a document mixes orientations, rotate only portrait pages or only landscape pages in one go, which helps when a scanner fed landscape sheets sideways.

Does rotating change the quality?

Rotating does not change quality, because pages are not re-rendered: the file stores a rotation value for each page, so text stays sharp and the file size stays the same. If a page already has a rotation, the new turn is added to it.

Everything runs in your browser, so your file is not uploaded. To mirror pages instead of turning them, use Flip pages; to rotate while also reordering, use Organize pages.

Frequently asked questions

Can I rotate a PDF and save it that way?

Yes. Rotate PDF saves the new orientation in the file you download, so it opens the right way up in any PDF reader. Your original is not changed.

Can you rotate a single page in a PDF?

Yes. Use the rotate buttons on that page's thumbnail, or choose Selected pages and enter its number. The other pages stay as they are.

Does rotating a PDF lower the quality?

No. The page is marked as rotated and its content is not re-drawn, so text and images stay exactly as they were.

Can I rotate just the landscape pages?

Yes. Choose landscape pages only or portrait pages only to match pages by orientation.

Is rotating a PDF the same as flipping it?

No. Rotating turns a page by 90 or 180 degrees, while flipping makes a mirror image; to mirror pages horizontally or vertically, use Flip pages.

Are my files uploaded when I rotate a PDF?

No. This tool runs in your browser, so your files stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to share the result or save it to a cloud drive.
